The Studio Albums Collection (Half-Speed Masters)
The arrival of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 50th anniversary brings an unprecedented celebration of everything the band contributed in their short but startlingly epochal time together (1968 – 1972). To commemorate this milestone, Craft Recordings is releasing a 7-LP deluxe box set on November 30, titled “The Studio Albums Collection (Half-Speed Masters),” comprising the band’s complete seven-album studio output: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bayou Country, Green River, Willy and the Poor Boys, Cosmo’s Factory, Pendulum and Mardi Gras.
Each album in this collection has been mastered at half-speed at Abbey Road Studios, benefiting from an exacting process that allows for an exceptional level of sonic clarity and punch, bringing these classic recordings a new vibrancy. The 180-gram LPs come housed in handsome tip-on jackets replicating the packaging of the original pressings. Along with the complete studio album collection comes an 80-page book featuring new liner notes from music journalist Roy Trakin, archival photos and reproductions of band ephemera — offering something for both new and the most diehard of Creedence fans.

FRIENDS* *Bearing Gifts
“FRIENDS* *Bearing Gifts” is Joseph Cicio’s lively recounting of his legendary career during the glittering heyday of New York City’s department stores, told through the beautiful objects bestowed by his famous friends: a beech tree from Joan Rivers; an antique mirror from Lauren Bacall; a 19th-century drawing from Bill Blass, and a sterling silver box from The Prince of Wales.
Cicio’s book is about the close friendships that have brought him joy, or as Nancy Kissinger says in her elegant foreword, “collecting experiences and beautiful things as we go along, and then celebrate the richness of the memories that these bring.”

Stax ’68: A Memphis Story
“Stax ’68: A Memphis Story” (released Oct. 19th on Craft Recordings) is a five-disc milestone anniversary box set containing the A- and B-sides of every single (over 120 songs) released under the Stax banner in 1968.
When it comes to soul, Stax Records owned the ’60s and it all crescendoed in 1968, a tempest-tossed year when the label redefined its own sound and, in the process, channeled a larger historical zeitgeist. “Stax ’68: A Memphis Story” captures this crossroads in detail. With a 56-page book including revelatory, in-depth liner notes by Andria Lisle, Robert Gordon, and Steve Greenberg, as well as rare unseen photos, the set presents more than 120 songs from this unprecedented creative period in American music. Some tracks are by soul legends (Isaac Hayes, The Staple Singers, William Bell, Booker T. & The M.G.’s, Johnnie Taylor) and some come from the deeper Stax catalog, and are equally incredible artists (Linda Lyndell, The Soul Children, The Mad Lads).
